This chapter recognizes senior citizens’ apartment projects as a special class of residential development because of unique characteristics related to locational, affordability, social, architectural and building safety considerations. In order to provide a living environment consistent with the needs of the elderly population and in order to preserve locally recognized values of community appearance, the following site development standards shall apply in addition to, and where inconsistent therewith shall supersede, any regulations of the underlying zone.
