The California Fire Code shall be enforced by the fire chief or his/her designee. The fire chief is appointed as the fire code official. The bureau of fire prevention is established within the city under the direction of the fire code official. The function of the fire prevention bureau shall be the implementation, administration, and enforcement of the provisions of the fire code. References within the California Fire Code to the “department of fire prevention” shall mean the bureau of fire prevention. (Ord. 2022-06 § 1 (Exh. A), 2022)
