No permit issued under this chapter is transferable, and such permit shall be used only by the person under whom it has been issued. If the permittee is the employee of another, the permit shall be valid only so long as the permittee continues in the employ of such employer. Upon termination of the employment of the permittee, the employer shall immediately give the city clerk notice of such termination, and the permittee shall forthwith surrender the permit to the city clerk.
